The US regional television network owned by Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group has agreed a deal to broadcast live games from the British Basketball League.
The BBL has agreed what has been described as a ‘groundbreaking’ deal with the FSG-owned New England Sports Network (NESN), the regional sports cable network that covers major sports teams in the New England area that includes the Boston Red Sox, also owned by FSG, the New England Patriots NFL team, the Boston Celtics of the NBA, and the NHL’s Boston Bruins.
The partnership between the BBL and NESN will bring action from British basketball’s elite men’s competition to the US, broadcasting across the six New England states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Two live games each week will be broadcast, airing one on Thursdays and one on Fridays, alongside a brand-new magazine show, Unbeatable. Fans can also tune in via various platforms, including NESN, NESN+, NESN National, and NESN 360.
