After an underwhelming loan spell with Marseille last season, Ivorian international defender Éric Bailly is now back at Manchester United, with the Ligue 1 club opting against triggering the permanent option in the deal that first brought him to Ligue 1 last summer.
The 29-year-old, who is under contract until the end of the upcoming campaign, now looks set to be on the move again. According to RMC Sport this evening, Bailly has reached an agreement with the Red Devils by which he will leave on a free transfer.
The former Villarreal man could remain in the Premier League, with Fulham reportedly interested in making a move. Bailly also has potential suitors in Saudi Arabia and Turkey, although he has already turned dow an offer from Beşiktaş.
Bailly left Les Phocéens having made 23 appearances in all competitions, including a Coupe de France clash against Hyères in which he was sent off after 15 minutes for a high boot into the chest of an opponent.
