United are coming off the back of a humbling 2-0 loss to Tottenham on Saturday which made it clear work still needs to be on in the transfer market.
The window remains open until September 1 and United continue to be linked with a new defensive-midfielder signing. A new defender may also need to be signed if Harry Maguire departs but an exit is looking increasingly unlikely.
That's not the case for Brandon Williams and Donny van de Beek, who were left out of the weekend's game as their futures look to lie elsewhere. United are also still trying to sell Eric Bailly.

Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirmed his club is in talks with Bayern Munich to sign Manchester United-linked Benjamin Pavard.
The French right-back was linked with United earlier this month when it looked as though Harry Maguire would be moving to West Ham. However, that deal has fallen through, lessening United's need to sign a new defender for the time being.
Earlier this week, Simone Inzaghi told reporters he was looking at Pavard but wished not to comment further on a player who was not on his team's books. Marotta has now confirmed Inter's interest in the Frenchman.
