A late goal from Junior brought Glentoran some festive cheer in an incident-packed game at Dungannon.
The Glens trailed at the break before turning it around in the final half hour in the rain at Stangmore Park.
And two players making their return from injury led the comeback.
First Marcus Kane headed them level, before Bobby Burns teed up Junior for the winner six minutes from the end.
The Swifts finished with 10 men after Caolan Marron’s red card.
Glentoran are on a five-game unbeaten run heading into the Boxing Day derby with Linfield.
However, boss Warren Feeney will be worried by the sight of Kane going off injured again.
Likewise, the Swifts could be without in-form striker Matty Lusty for some time after he suffered what looked a nasty injury.
It came as he won a penalty in first half stoppage time.
As Lusty chased Kealan Dillon’s pass, he went to ground after an innocuous challenge from Jonathan Russell.
Referee Declan Hassan pointed to the spot but there was real concern for Lusty, who landed awkwardly.
Dungannon players crowded around the stricken striker, who received lengthy treatment before being carried off on a stretcher.
When the penalty was taken, goalkeeper Aaron McCarey got hands to Ben Gallagher’s kick, but the ball rebounded in off the post.
Otherwise, it had taken 38 minutes for a chance of note.
Gallagher drove into the box, with Patrick McClean sliding in to challenge. The ball looped up, with McCarey scrambling across to tip it over.
