Eden Hazard has admitted that he would have been 'burned out' if he had followed Cristiano Ronaldo's insane training and recovery plans.
The Portuguese super star is renowned for having some of the most intense and fitness regiemes on the planet, and for many football stars, he is the peak of physical performance, continuing to play at the top level at the age of 38-years-old.
Hazard meanwhile, announced his retirment from professional football last year, after he was released by Real Madrid.
Ronaldo would depart the Spanish giants one year before Hazard moved to the club in 2019 and reflecting on his career, the former Belgian international spoke out on whether he would have liked to have had the Portuguese superstar's mentality.
'No. It wouldn’t have been me,' Hazard said to L'Equipe.
'After training, soaking in the cold bath for an hour, no. Leave me alone, with my friends, we go home, play cards, have a beer.
'I play for two hours with my friends. Children in the garden. It was my recovery. If I had been like Cristiano, I would have been burned out.'

Upon his retirement, Hazard, meanwhle, admitted that he was looking forward to spending more time with friends and his family away from football.
