A pint of Guinness is more than £1 cheaper when you're searching in the correct places.
Comparing the cost of a pint at Wetherspoon and Greene King pubs up and down the country, research carried out by The Winners Enclosure has confirmed just how much a Guinness is likely to set punters back in 35 different towns and cities across England.
The average pint ranges from £3.62 to £6.13 with Sunderland being the cheapest and London as the most expensive.

Birkenhead ranked in fourth place as the average Guinness pint costs just £3.88. However, if you're in Liverpool, the price rises by a whole £1.01.
It's not all doom and gloom for Liverpool if you know where to look and open to suggestions. The Blob Shop in the heart of the city centre stoops as low as £2.15 on certain pints while The Pilgrim in the Georgian Quarter sells McEwan's for just £1.99.
