Man United 'launch internal review' as 13 players could miss Liverpool match
Liverpool established themselves as the pacesetters after 16 matches after coming from behind to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 in last weekend's early kick-off. Later on in the afternoon AFC Bournemouth inflicted a miserable 3-0 defeat on United at Old Trafford.
And after that loss, and the one that followed to Bayern, has led Red Devils legend Schmeichel to describe his former club's prospects for this weekend's encounter at Anfield as "not very good".
He said: "Everything seems out of sync, I have to be honest. Of course, you have Harry Maguire coming off with an injury. Luke Shaw came off with an injury.
"We've got Liverpool on Sunday. I’m trying not to think about that. It’s going to be without our captain (Bruno Fernandes, who is suspended), without possibly our best player of the last month or so, Harry Maguire. It’s going to be without Luke Shaw if he is injured.
"The prospects are not very good. Based on this performance (Bayern), how can this team go to Anfield and win? I just can’t see it."
