Jurgen Klopp saluted another impressive showing from Wataru Endo – as he prepares to wave goodbye to the Liverpool midfielder.
Endo was an integral performer as the Reds earned a 2-0 Premier League win at relegation-threatened Burnley on Tuesday evening.
After a slow start to his Liverpool career following his summer arrival from Stuttgart, the 30-year-old has stepped up in defensive midfield, particularly with Alexis Mac Allister still out with a knee problem.

Endo, though, will leave after next Monday’s home game with Newcastle United to represent Japan in the Asia Cup, the final of which doesn’t take place until February 10.
And Klopp said: “I loved his game, I have to say. It’s a bit of a shame he’s found his feet and now he goes to the Asia Cup. That’s how it is. It’s fine.
“What a boy. What a player. Very important, but in January we have to play more or less without him. But against Newcastle he is still here. Then the boys leave and then we have to find another way and we will.
“For the moment, I am really happy for him. It took him a little bit to really show how good he really is, but now we can see it. I’m really happy about it.”
Klopp made five changes from the team that drew 1-1 at home to fellow title contenders Arsenal on Saturday, with Jarell Quansah making only a third Premier League start.
