Inter have been one of the more active Italian clubs within the transfer market ahead of this year’s upcoming campaign.
The Nerazzurri have lost several core players that were prominent assets in their incredible run within last year’s Champions League such as central defenders Milan Skriniar and Danilo D’Ambrosio, holding midfielders Marcelo Brozovic and Roberto Gagliardini, shot-stoppers Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic, wing-backs Robin Gosens and Raoul Bellanova, and well-documented forwards Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku.
However, Inzaghi’s side have pulled strings within the market in order to rebuild the squad heading into the fresh season, acquiring Marko Arnautovic and Marcus Thuram within the front-line, Davide Fratessi within the central area of the pitch, wing-backs Carlos Augusto and Juan Cuadrado along the flanks, Yan Aurel Bisseck to reinforce the back-line, and Yan Sommer and Emil Audero in between the posts.
With an abundant of changes within the Nerazzurri camp, the Get Italian Football News team had FcInter1908 journalist Marco Macca provide his insight on the Milanese club in an exclusive interview.
Macca was first asked whether Inter will search for alternative signing within the midfield following the fallout within transfer of Lazar Samardzic from Udinese or will simply keep Stefano Sensi as the sixth midfielder at Inzaghi’s disposal:
“Without surprises, Sensi will remain at Inter. The club could also offer him a contract renewal, even if there are some doubts about his physical conditions. He played very well this summer and Inter could bet on him again.“
