It's safe to say that Simon Jordan isn't a huge fan of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
The hit ITV show kicked off their latest series on Sunday night and as a result it arose as a topic of conversation during talkSPORT's White And Jordan show on Monday.
The series features celebrities from all walks of life with actors, actresses, TV presenters, comedians, politicians and sporting figures among those competing.
Previous years have seen David Ginola, Harry Redknapp, Sir Mo Farah, Chris Eubank, Jill Scott and David Haye appear on the show, but could Ant and Dec ever tempt Simon Jordan to take part? I'd suggest not.
Asked if he’s ever been asked to go on, Jordan said: “Yes.
“I think it’s a show for feeble-minded people and I was insulted to be asked.
“I was literally insulted to be asked. I said ‘why are you asking me? This is a show for morons’ – I think it was 2011 or 2012, but Nigel [Farage] is getting £1.5million so that might have changed a few peoples’ minds about the moron side of things!”
Asked if he’d consider it for that money, Jordan said: «No. Michelle asked me last night because she’s friendly with Nigel [Farage] I was forced to watch it because she wants to see what he’s going to endure.
“I was sat there looking at it and thought ‘not even if you shut my proverbial in a car door and dragged me to the studio would I want to go on that show’.
“I was watching it and thinking ‘my word’, but there you go. Entertainment comes in all different guises, doesn’t it?”
Martin Keown also got involved in the conversation, saying: “I’m with Simon, no way would I go on it.
“Honestly, how people get caught up in it and addicted to it – but no. Maybe if the money went to charity, but I don’t think they allow that to happen.”
