Despite defeating Paris Saint-Germain’s eternal rivals Olympique de Marseille home and away this season, Luis Enrique was left annoyed by questions over Kylian Mbappé (25).
The forward had a quiet night in what will likely be his last Le Classique with a summer move to Real Madrid on the horizon and was replaced around the hour mark in what has become a recent theme for Les Parisiens .
Mbappé rarely plays the entire 90 minutes of a Ligue 1 game, and the derby was no exception as Gonçalo Ramos (22) was brought on in his place as the visitors won 2-0 .
However, when asked by Amazon Prime in a post-match interview to explain why Mbappé was substituted , Luis Enrique snapped “ It’s always the same questions, it’s so boring, I’m the coach and I make the decisions .”
It was a decision that ended up working for the coach, as Ramos was instrumental in ending the late Marseille push as he finished the move which doubled the lead and put the game out of reach.
