Jamie Redknapp names 'most underrated' player Liverpool must sign in January transfer
Jamie Redknapp has urged Liverpool to sign Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha in the January transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp's side are currently short of options in the midfield department, with a number of key players sidelined through injury. Indeed, Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara are two long-term absentees and have recently been joined on the treatment table by summer signings Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch.
The holding midfield role has continued to prove problematic for the Reds this season, with Mac Allister and Wataru Endo both struggling to make this role their own when starring in this position.

Fulham's Palhinha has been suggested as one individual Liverpool could move for to provide a greater sense of stability and Redknapp has backed the idea of this transfer taking place.
Speaking on Sky Sports on Wednesday evening, the former Liverpool midfielder shared: “I am a big fan of Palhinha in midfield. I think he is one of the most underrated players.
“The job that he does. If I was Liverpool right now, I would look to get him in my midfield in January. He makes a big difference to any team.”
Such is the influence of the Portuguese star, Palhinha has made considerably more tackles (76) than any other player in the Premier League this campaign. Ranked second on this list is Sheffield United's Vinicius Souza, who is way behind on 52.
