Owen Beck gets Celtic fans shouting same thing from the rooftops as Liverpool transfer hype swells

Owen Beck has got Celtic fans talking - but there's a near unanimous reservation among the Parkhead faithful about the rising Liverpool star.

The Welsh left-back spent the first half of the season on loan at Dundee and was one of the most impressive players in the Premiership across his 17 league appearances. So much so that, with Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas out injured, Jurgen Klopp triggered a recall clause to take him back to Liverpool early this month and play his part in the first team.

The Anfield side are believed to have rejected advances from Celtic AND Rangers for him soon after he returned and Beck was on the bench for the EFL Cup semi-final first-leg win over Fulham. But he hasn't played yet and it's been rumoured Celtic are still circling the 21-year-old. It's been enough to get fans talking anyway and most believe he would be a good signing - but only if they have a chance of landing him permanently.

One punter wrote on X: "If the Owen Beck rumours are true I only want him if there’s an option to buy, don’t want to develop another clubs player would rather buy a player of our own," while another reckons looking within might be the better option if Beck is only available on a dry loan. They added: "Owen Beck would be a great signing, but only if there is an option to buy. Why would we want to develop other sides players? We have a good young prospect in Mitchel Frame who I would rather seen given a chance."

Another fan said: "If there’s any truth if this Owen Beck rumour it has to be a permanent move. Really no point in just a 6 month loan cause it’s just a short term solution to a long term problem at left back."

Nicolas Kuhn is set to be the first signing and Liverpool's Caoimhin Kelleher has been
