Jurgen Klopp says the in-form Darwin Nunez is in a "different moment" to last season as the Liverpool boss explained how he plans to unleash the striker's full potential at Anfield.
Nunez has scored three in as many games for the Reds against Toulouse, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth on Wednesday night when his stunning effort secured passage into the last eight of the Carabao Cup with a 2-1 win.
The Uruguay international now has seven goals across all competitions and is likely to lead the line when the Reds are entertained by Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Sunday.

Klopp says Nunez is making great strides on the defensive side of his game as Liverpool's centre forward and believes his £64m frontman is playing with a huge level of confidence that wasn't there during a difficult campaign for the whole club last time out.
"Darwin is a No.9," Klopp said. "He can play on the wing as well and it all depends on how we want to work an opponent, pretty much. Where are the spaces where you can unleash his full potential?
"The thing is, last year, especially when things did not go particularly well, it was super important that everything was set up perfectly and we needed a No.9 who defended the centre perfectly in a way Darwin was not able to do then. Now he can.
"Now we are set up slightly differently with a different confidence level, we used the full pre-season to really get used to that. We changed the way we defend slightly anyway, which helps him as well. In that moment when we are defensively stable then of course he has to play from the centre,
