Jurgen Klopp has not been shy in speaking about the future in recent years, even before he announced his shock exit from Liverpool on Friday.
The 56-year-old has outlined how he will never manage in England again and is taking an indefinite step back from the game when he hangs up his Reds cap this summer. Klopp has cited energy levels as the reason for his departure after eight-and-a-half years at the helm.
He bows out as a club legend with the understanding of fans and the respect of the whole football community. Aside from his stance on taking another job in England, it is unclear what job Klopp will do next.

Potential positions at Barcelona and even the Germany national team have been mooted, but Klopp has already previously underlined what his intentions are when it comes to deciding what is next.
Speaking to German outlet Sportbuzzer in 2020, he explained: "I'll take a year off and ask myself if I miss football. If I say no, then that will be the end of coach Jurgen Klopp. If one day I am no longer a coach, there is one thing I will not miss: the brutal tension immediately before the game."
A month later, he reiterated to Einfach Fussbal: "When I leave Liverpool, I won't take a new job the next day. That's for sure. I will take a one-year break after Liverpool."
Earlier that year and prior to his 2022 renewal, he had suggested to SWR Sport that he would spend four more years at Anfield - until 2024 - before likely returning to Germany.
