Liverpool produced a stirring second-half comeback to blow away Luton Town and increase their lead at the top of the Premier League on Wednesday night.
Goals from Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott did the damage as the Reds romped to a 4-1 triumph. The result means Jurgen Klopp’s men are now four points clear at the summit, although Manchester City and Arsenal both have a game in hand.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at Anfield.

There was a lovely moment in the closing moments of the game when, after Elliott struck the fourth, he was joined in celebration in front of the Kop by fellow youthful quartet Jarell Quansah, James McConnell, Bobby Clark and Jayden Danns.
This was a special night for Danns, who made his debut as a late substitute, was involved in Elliott's goal and then given a big post-match hug from Klopp.
At the same time, Luton boss Rob Edwards was in the vicinity and took the opportunity to tell the Liverpool boss he had been up against the 18-year-old's father Neil as a player. The surprised look on Klopp's face said it all.
Wataru doing?
As Anfield rejoiced, the fourth goal prompted a reaction of a different sort from Wataru Endo.
Rather than joining in with the delight, Endo instead sprinted over to the touchline where he was involved in deep discussion with Klopp before trotting back to line up for the restart.
