Jurrien Timber hailed reported Arsenal transfer target Brian Brobbey after his brace in an Ajax 4-1 win on Sunday afternoon.
Brobbey, 21, has been in fine form for his current club this season and has scored 13 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions, a tally he added to at the weekend.
The Ajax academy graduate has been a shining light in a disastrous campaign for the Dutch giants, who sit 21 points behind league leaders PSV Eindhoven.
Whether or not this results in players opting to leave the club this January remains to be seen, with Brobbey among those being linked with a move away. Manchester United have also been mentioned as an interested club as Erik ten Hag contemplates reuniting with another of his former players.

Arsenal already turned to Ajax for a signing in the summer, bringing Timber to the club, and could benefit from having the 22-year-old on their books should Brobbey be targeted. Timber seemingly remains good friends with the Amsterdam-born forward, having shared an image of him on Instagram with the message of 'Topp' after his weekend brace, and could be convinced into heading to Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have been unable to see Timber in action for more than two games this season due to the ACL injury he sustained in the Gunners opening Premier League game of the season against Nottingham Forest. It was feared the versatile defender would miss the remainder of the campaign, though Mikel Arteta recently offered hope of a comeback during the title race run-in.
