Juventus have reportedly held discussions with Romelu Lukaku and are able to finance a move for the Chelsea striker in this transfer window.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are interested in a deal for Lukaku, who has been frozen out by Chelsea and hasn't been given a squad number.
There remains a gap between Chelsea's valuation of Lukaku and what Juventus are currently willing to pay, but that could soon be addressed.
Inter Milan were interested in signing Lukaku on a permanent basis following his loan spell last season but saw a £26million bid rejected by Chelsea, who are believed to want £40million for the striker.
Last week during a training match Juventus supporters stormed the pitch and chanted 'We don't want Lukaku'.
There had been claims that Chelsea wanted to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus in part-exchange for Lukaku.
However, according to Tutto Mercato Web, Vlahovic is reluctant to join Chelsea.
Therefore, if Juventus are to continue their pursuit of Lukaku then it is likely to be a separate move.
Lukaku scored 14 goals in 37 games for Inter last season and previously had two seasons at the club as a permanent player.
