Harry Kane fired an ominous warning to Arsenal in the aftermath of Bayern Munich's 2-0 win over FC Koln.
The German champions played out a dramatic 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Tuesday night, leaving their quarter-final tie finely poised ahead of next week's second leg in Munich. Both teams had domestic matters to attend to before that, though, with Arsenal playing Aston Villa on Sunday.
Bayern are all but resigned to losing their domestic crown to Xabi Alonso's imperious Bayer Leverkusen team but they did beat Koln to avoid losing any further ground at the summit. Despite a disappointing Bundesliga campaign, Champions League glory is still on the table for Kane and co - and he instantly switched his focus back to Europe's premier competition after the match.
In a social media post, Kane, who was not on the scoresheet for Thomas Tuchel's side on Saturday, said: "Perfect prep for Wednesday" ahead of Arsenal's trip to the Allianz Arena.
While Kane blanked against Koln, the former Tottenham striker was on target against Arsenal at the Emirates courtesy of an ice-cold penalty kick. Kane's contribution nudged Bayern into a 2-1 lead, only for Leandro Trossard to restore parity late in the second-half.
Speaking after the match, Kane insisted he was loving every minute of his new adventure in Germany - even if his chances of winning a first ever league title have already gone up in smoke.
