Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reacted to Egypt's reported rejection of the club's recent request regarding Mohamed Salah.
The Reds attacker has made just one appearance for the Merseyside club after picking up a hamstring injury at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Salah participated in Liverpool's 4-1 victory over Brentford last month, but was ruled out once more following what is said to be a reoccurrence of his initial knock.
During his recovery, however, the forward was included in the Pharaohs squad that is set compete in a friendly tournament in the United Arab Emirates during the international break later this month, one that will also include Tunisia, Croatia and New Zealand.
The Merseyside outfit then requested that their talisman be exempted from international duty, but this was rejected by the Egyptian Football Association.
It was then reported that the African giants were struggling to get in contact with the former Chelsea star, with no meeting between the national side's technical staff and the player having taken place.
Speaking ahead of the first leg of Liverpool's UEFA Europa League round of 16 encounter against Sparta Prague on Thursday night, Klopp confirmed that Salah has joined the squad following a return to training this week.
