Whilst Kylian Mbappé’s (25) future remains uncertain, the Frenchman has affirmed that the uncertainty is not proving disruptive at club or international level.
It is expected that Mbappé will leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. He informed president Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his upcoming departure upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the current campaign. However, there is no official word. Whilst Luís Enrique has repeatedly stated that PSG will “have to get used to playing without Mbappé, sooner or later,” a degree of uncertainty does remain.
Mbappé had the chance to clarify his future during a press conference on Friday, however, no announcement was made. His international teammate, Aurélien Tchouaméni seemed to hint at a move to Real Madrid, during an interview with Téléfoot on Sunday.
However, in an interview with Téléfoot, Mbappé has played down the impact of the uncertainty surrounding his future and said that his situation will be clarified before this summer’s Euros in Germany.
“People will know [my situation]. I’ll arrive at the Euros with peace of mind. I’m already calm. It’s not even a topic at the club (PSG) any more, no one talks to me about it. There are no worries there. I’ll go to the Euros with peace of mind and with the certainty of doing great things,” said the France captain.
