Getafe striker Juanmi Latasa spoke this Wednesday at a press conference about his future at Getafe and reminded that he still belongs to Real Madrid and that in the summer both clubs will have to make a decision about where he will play next season.
Latasa is in his second year on loan in Getafe. He is improving and this season he has scored six goals in official matches in comparison to the two goals he scored last season. He has developed well under Jose Bordalas to establish himself in La Liga. That's why he admitted to be happy in Getafe.
"First I think about finishing the season well, which is very important. In the summer we'll see, we have to make a decision and right now I have no idea what will happen. I am very happy here in Getafe. I am in Madrid with my friends and my family. Right now I belong to Real Madrid and in the summer we'll have to make a decision between all of us to see what happens," he stressed.
Latasa recognized, that Bordalas has been a very important coach for him. When he returned to Getafe last season to coach the last six matches, he trusted in a player who hardly had minutes with Quique Sanchez Flores.
"He has been very important because last year when he arrived at this stage, I didn't have any minutes. He gave me the opportunity to play and this year that has been the case. He has given me the confidence I needed and those little details that have made me improve as a player," he said.
"Bordalas is or has been fundamental last year in our salvation and he has been fundamental this year for the season we are having. On a personal level, he has given me very good advice that has been very good for me and that I try to apply day by day," he added.
