Latest Arsenal injury news as two to miss Sheffield United after Thomas Partey update

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal injury problems are clearing up, not that it's been a problem on the field in the past six weeks. The Spaniard has seen his side sweep all that has come before them, firing in 25 goals in just five league games to not only cement themselves in the title picture but also make a timely move on changing the goal difference picture.

That Arteta has been able to do this without five players that many expected would be central to the squad, is all the more impressive. As he now looks to balance expectations of a comeback in the Champions League against Porto alongside a genuine three-horse fight for the title, the returns of key players couldn't be coming at a better time.

Unlike Liverpool, who are literally and metaphorically hamstrung with problems to senior players in their team, Arsenal are now in the best shape they have been for some time. There is no player that isn't now training at the Sobha Realty base in north London, in a huge boost.

Having also not played since last Saturday, and still a full weekend ahead before they travel to Sheffield United on Monday night, there has been ample time to recover as well. The lack of FA Cup action has aided this process as their rivals all took to the field on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ahead of the March international break in three weeks, there has also been another fixture change as the game against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium has been postponed. Although this will leave plenty to do in the back-end of the season, the squad is currently looking like it may well peak at the right time.

For now, the attention is on beating relegation-fodder Sheffield United. In a continuation of good news for Arteta, his squad is expected to be extremely strong.
