Dungannon's Dean Curry celebrates his goal against Linfield at Windsor Park
Dungannon Swifts put huge dent in Linfield’s title ambitions with this shock win at Windsor Park.
It was the County Tyrone team’s first ever League win over the Blues on their home patch -- the result leave David Healy's men still one point ahead of champions Larne in the Sports Direct Premiership table.
The Blues broke the deadlock on 51 minutes. Darragh McBrien skipped past Cahal McGinty on the left and his cross was rammed into the bottom corner by Matty Clarke.
Linfield had a great chance to extend their advantage on the hour when referee Jamie Robinson awarded Healy’s boys a penalty kick after Gael Bigirimana had handled a Kirk Millar cross.
Kyle McClean took on the responsibility from the spot, but his shot was superbly saved by Dunne.
The Blues were made to pay for that howler because the Swifts were level four minutes later. John Scott’s low cross from the left was expertly tucked home by Bigirimana.
