As the end of the 2023/24 season draws closer, attention will soon turn to the summer transfer window.
The Reds got things right ahead of the current campaign after bolstering their midfield with Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo and will be hoping for similar success in the market once again.
Jurgen Klopp will not be around to oversee the next stage of the Reds' development, though is leaving behind a more than capable squad to be inherited by his successor. Rumours are already beginning to circulate regarding potential players who could be on their way to Anfield, which we have rounded up below.

Alan Varela clause
Liverpool are said to be considering triggering the £60million release clause of Porto's, Alan Varela.
The 22-year-old left Boca Juniors last summer to head for Portugal and the defensive midfielder has more than made his mark during his debut campaign.
Varela particularly caught the eye in his side's recent 1-0 win over Arsenal in the Champions League Round of 16 and will be tasked with putting in a similar display at the Emirates when the sides meet next week.
Under contract until 2028, Argentine is understood to have a buyout clause worth €70m (£60m) that is tempting the Reds, as reported by O Jogo.
