Liverpool fans from across the globe are set to descend on Anfield this week to mark International Women's Day and champion diversity in football.
The annual event, staged by Livergirls International, aims to unite a strong network of female Reds supporters, forging new friendships and empowering women to celebrate their love of the game. This year's festivities will take place on Friday, March 8, at Hotel TIA and Hotel Anfield, complete with a drinks reception, motivational speakers, dinner and live music.
Topping the bill at Friday's event is Liverpool Women's star Missy Bo Kearns, who has helped Matt Beard's side establish themselves as one of the Women's Super League's (WSL) surprise packages this term. The Allerton-born midfielder is a firm fan favourite at Prenton Park and last year became the first female Liverpool player to be immortalised via a mural on Anfield's Tancred Road.

Also in attendance will be Janette Simpson - daughter of Liverpool legend Tommy Smith - former Reds striker David Fairclough and professional football freestyler Jasmijn Janssen.
