Paul Gorst - Konate comes straight in
The big issue for Jurgen Klopp at Molineux will be whether or not to trust that Ibrahima Konate is back to full fitness after his return to training this week.
With no Virgil van Dijk or Trent Alexander-Arnold, however, options are a bit thin for Klopp at the back. So Joe Gomez starts again, but this time at right-back with Joel Matip, Andy Robertson and Konate completing the back four. The Frenchman will have to step up and have a week off in reward, sitting out the Europa League visit to LASK.
In midfield, there’s a start for Wataru Endo at the base of the midfield with Curtis Jones and Dominic Szoboszlai further forward as the pair of roving No.8s. Harvey Elliott can wait in the wings and hopefully there’s no need to use Alexis Mac Allister, who spent the international break huffing oxygen canisters in the “mountains of Bolivia” to quote Klopp.
Up top, Diogo Jota can shift off to the left against his former club with Cody Gakpo leading the line and, of course, Mohamed Salah on the right.
