Liverpool museum venues will close this week for an "extended period".
The news comes after hundreds of National Museum employees are set to strike over a pay dispute regarding a cost-of-living payment. The strike action means venues, including the International Slavery Museum, Maritime Museum, Museum of Liverpool, World Museum and Lady Lever Art Gallery, will be closed.
Most of the venues will close from Saturday, February 17 due to the industrial action. Exhibitions and events will also no longer take place as scheduled.
