Fresh from their Carabao Cup victory at Wembley on Sunday, Liverpool are back in action tonight when they take on Southampton at Anfield in the FA Cup.
Jurgen Klopp's youthful squad, despite being stretched to the very limit, can do him a big favour by defeating the Championship promotion hopefuls. The Liverpool boss had to rely on young players off the bench against Chelsea at Wembley due to injuries.
Conor Bradley started only his ninth game for the club, while Bobby Clark came on as a substitute for his ninth first-team appearance, none of which have been starts. James McConnell, who has only started one game and made five substitute appearances, and Jayden Danns, who made his senior debut in a late cameo against Luton in midweek, also came on.

These young players can help Klopp again tonight. With 12 players injured, the German manager will have to field a mixed team once more. However, a win would put Liverpool into the FA Cup quarter-finals, scheduled for the weekend of Saturday, March 16. Currently, they are set to play Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park at 2pm on Sunday, March 17.
The Stanley Park duel could be rescheduled if they make it to the last eight of the FA Cup. The winners of the Carabao Cup know that there are only a few slots available for the match to be moved to, if needed. As it stands, Liverpool could face Everton at Goodison on Tuesday, April 23 or Wednesday, April 24 at the earliest. At the latest, they could face them midweek in the final week of the season.
