Liverpool told to 'break the bank' for one of two ideal Fabinho replacements
Ex-Liverpool striker-turned-pundit Stan Collymore believes his former side must 'break the bank' for Brighton's Moises Caicedo in order to replace Fabinho.
The Brazilian midfielder is being touted as the first player to walk through the Anfield exit door in exchange for a substantial transfer fee this summer after it was revealed Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad had submitted an offer in the region of £40 million.
It opens up a new conundrum for Jurgen Klopp to solve as so far he has only added attacking midfield options in Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai from Brighton and RB Leipzig respectively.
Now, the Liverpool boss has been told to look towards Sussex once more, as Collymore believes Caicedo is a prime candidate to fill Fabinho's shoes.
To replace Fabinho, I think Liverpool should break the bank for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and although it might be a little too soon for him, Aston Villa’s Boubacar Kamara would be an excellent acquisition for Klopp having been exceptional at times last season – although I think Aston Villa won’t be motivated to sell him this summer," he told CaughtOffside.
