Marcus Rashford responded in stunning style after he was sent a clear warning that he faces stiff competition now for his England place. The Manchester United man is under pressure for club and country after a difficult couple of weeks.
The 26-year-old Man Utd player hasn't had the best season so far, but he produced a rousing performance over 120 minutes in the FA Cup against Liverpool on Sunday. His actions off the pitch have also caused problems for Erik ten Hag.
In October, Rashford was seen partying in a Manchester nightclub just hours after United lost 3-0 to City at Old Trafford. He also didn't turn up for training in January after a night out in Belfast.

Despite this, Southgate is still supporting his top scorer from the 2022 World Cup for the upcoming friendly matches against Brazil and Belgium. The Three Lions chief hopes that Rashford will prove he deserves his place in the team, but admits two in-form players - Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon and West Ham's Jarrod Bowen - are gunning for his spot.
Southgate also addressed Rashford's off-field issues. And while he admits they are club issues and not something he knows the full details on, he said England chiefs 'don't miss anything'.
