Manchester United have returned to winning ways at Craven Cottage this afternoon thanks to a late strike from Bruno Fernandes.
The Reds thought they were in for a good afternoon inside ten minutes when Scott McTominay tapped home from an Alejandro Garnacho cross. However, VAR adjudged Harry Maguire was offside in the build-up and ruled the goal out for offside.
A struggle commenced after the decision as United pressed hard to find a goal. With time running out though, their patience was rewarded as Fernandes fired home to beat Bernd Leno at his near post.
United's victory could be pivotal in their season after a tough week which saw them lose to both Manchester City and Newcastle comfortably. However, there was a few injury concerns for Erik ten Hag after the final whistle.
