Manchester United striker Joe Hugill is expected to join League One side Burton Albion on loan today.
Hugill's loan move was agreed last week but delayed as he was required for first-team training amid United's striker shortage.
The 20-year-old signed a new contract with United until 2026 on Wednesday and Hugill could make his debut against Derby County on Monday night.
Burton, 17th in the League One table, announced Martin Paterson as their new manager on Thursday.
Hugill has been named on the United bench four times this season but is yet to make his debut for the club. He joined the United academy from Sunderland in 2020 for £300,000 and was part of the squad that won the FA Youth Cup in 2022.

Donny van de Beek left United for Eintracht Frankfurt on loan on New Year's Day and Jadon Sancho rejoined Borussia Dortmund on loan on Thursday. United exercised the break clause in Sergio Reguilon's season-long loan and he returned to Tottenham last week.

Martial, who was injured for almost the entirety of the summer transfer window, has been sidelined for the entirety of the winter transfer window so far.
