Mauricio Pochettino drops huge Chelsea transfer hint as defender left out of squad amid exit
Chelsea have dropped a clear hint over the future of defender Malang Sarr after he was left out of the 25-man Premier League squad list released on Wednesday.
Each team is required to submit their full list of players for the season, which includes players over the age of 21-years-old, with those younger not taking up a space. Then there's a homegrown quota, which must fill eight players in the squad, with as many as 17 non-homegrown players allowed.
Some notable absentees from the list are Cole Palmer, Carney Chukwuemeka, Romeo Lavia, Lesley Ugochukwu, Romeo Lavia, Malo Gusto and Levi Colwill, due to the fact that they count as under-21s players. There was a place in the main list for Trevoh Chalobah though, despite the fact that multiple sources have told football.london that there's a chance he may not feature for the club again.
One player who certainly looks set to have that fate, though, is Sarr who signed on a free transfer from OGC Nice back in 2020 with plenty of promise. Loan spells with FC Porto and AS Monaco have followed, however it wasn't enough to convince of a starting place back at Stamford Bridge.
This summer is appeared as though a move was likely, though one was never agreed with any of the major European leagues before the majority of transfer windows closed. His recent exile from the 25-man squad, as well as a lack of a squad number appears to have suggested his future still lays elsewhere.

There is still time for a move in the coming days though as the Turkish and Greek markets remain open until September 15, while Portugal's closes on September 22. It remains to be seen whether a deal will be completed though,
