Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea injury list appears as though it continues to grow every week with Moises Caicedo the latest to join the many stars in the treatment room. The 21-year-old was absent from the Premier League clash with Bournemouth this past weekend after picking up a knock on international duty with Ecuador.
As a result, fellow new signingLesley Ugochukwu was handed his first start since joining from Rennes with the 19-year-old impressing in midfield alongside Conor Gallagher and Enzo Fernandez. He said: «Cucurella, fever, yesterday he was at home and today continues still. Noni came from the national team with a muscle problem. Caicedo came with a knock in his knee. On Instagram, he wrote: «In progress..[timer emoji]» alongside a set of images. In response to his message, Chukwuemeka appeared very excited by the prospect of the 25-year-old returning and playing alongside him as he commented, «Loadinggg [flame emoji and eyes emoji]».
While Nkunku and Chukwuemeka are some way off making their return, Pochettino has been handed a welcome injury boost with Cucurella and Madueke back in training.
