A Merseyside restaurant has been recognised by the AA guide for being one of the "best local restaurants", achieving "high standards, consistency, precision and obvious attention to the selection of quality ingredients".
OXA, by local chef Andrew Sheridan, and run by head chef Jake Smith, has now been awarded two prestigious AA rosettes for their contribution to the restaurant industry.
The venue opened in Oxton in May 2023, replacing Merseyside's only Michelin-starred restaurant, Fraiche, and in only 10 months, OXA has earned a place in the Michelin Guide and is now 'rosetted'.

Two rosettes are given to the best local restaurants, which aim for and achieve:
Andrew Sheridan said: “We are so pleased for Jake and the team achieving two AA Rosettes – they are turning out some stunning food. This is the recognition they deserve.”
Sheridan's other restaurant, '8', which is located in Liverpool city centre, has three rosettes.
