Kai Havertz has endured a difficult start to his Arsenal career with the latest update seeing Mikel Arteta's £65million transfer decision hit with a Mesut Ozil comparison. The Germany international has started every competitive game for the Gunners so far this season but has come under significant fire for his midfield displays.
Following a difficult spell at Chelsea, Havertz was always going to be under the microscope following his surprising transfer to Arsenal, with Arteta already having to leap to the defence of the 24-year-old on multiple occasions. «I saw an action when he played backwards and he could have turned,» Arteta told reporters after the Fulham draw in his most recent Havertz point.

In the second half, Havertz won a penalty after being brought to the floor by Aaron Wan-Bissaka, however VAR recommended Anthony Taylor over to review the decision before it was ultimately overturned.
