Newcastle duo dropped from the squad Premier League confirm
With 15 games left to go of the Premier League season, it could be said that Newcastle will find themselves at a disadvantage.
The Magpies are already in the slipstream of the teams above them, and with so many injury concerns still not resolved, their struggle is real and is likely to continue.
At present, Eddie Howe’s side are way down in ninth place in the English top-flight, and a mammoth 13 points away from the Champions League places.
It’s clearly going to be a real uphill battle for the club to qualify for the premier European competition, and that task might be made even more difficult by the fact that Newcastle haven’t been able to register their full complement of 25 players for their Premier League squad for this part of the campaign.
According to Sport Bible, the Premier League have confirmed that the Magpies will only have 23 players registered to play those final 15 games, meaning if the first-team succumb to any more injuries, they really will be down to the bare bones.
The two players that are missing are Javier Manquillo, who was sold to Celta Vigo in January, and Sandro Tonali, who is banned from all football related activities until well into next season.
