If Manchester United finish inside the top four come the end of the season, Scott McTominay's contributions to that achievement cannot be overlooked.
The Scot has popped up at vitally-important moments this season, scoring winners that are likely to be remembered fondly for years to come. He has scored eight goals in all competitions, seven of which have been plundered in the Premier League.
His most recent contribution was his winner against Aston Villa almost a fortnight ago. His heroics at Villa Park turned one point into three, meaning United, as a direct result of his goals this season, are 12 points better off.

Despite his winner against Unai Emery's men, McTominay was not rewarded with a starting berth for Sunday's 2-1 win over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road. Manager Erik ten Hag named an unchanged XI, though he admitted leaving the Scotland international on the bench was hard.
"He deserves to play, but I can't line up [with] 12," said the United manager. "Definitely, he's always in my mind during the week – how can we put him in the starting XI."
In total, McTominay has made 17 starts for United this season, 12 of which he has been handed in the Premier League. However, his last league start was two months ago, coming against West Ham United at the London Stadium on December 23.
Had West Ham have had their way, McTominay may have lined up in claret and blue that lunchtime. The Londoners were keen on extracting the 27-year-old from Old Trafford last summer and saw a £30million bid rejected. United valued him somewhere in the region of £40m-£50m.
