The outpouring of emotion from Marcus Rashford when he opened the scoring against Manchester City on Sunday proved beyond question how committed he is to Manchester United.
His Player's Tribune article last week attempted to show the United supporters how committed he is to the club but actions speak louder than words. As Rashford was embraced by the away end at the Etihad on Sunday, it was clear he values playing for the football club.
Yet there have been occasions this season when this has been called into doubt. Rashford has been accused of lacking passion on the pitch but this has seemed harsh to this point.

Rashford's commitment to the club cannot be questioned but he is a player who depends upon his confidence being high. When it is low, it comes across like he could not be in the least bit concerned by what happens on the pitch when in actuality he is merely in a rut.
It is also true to suggest that the winger has not helped himself either. The Belfast saga really should not have happened and some United fans, rightly, felt let down by a player who is meant to be seen as a leader at this stage of his career.
Rashford was fined two weeks' wages for the incident, with manager Erik ten Hag then saying: "So he has taken responsibility and for the rest, it's an internal matter. Case closed."
Since this incident, Rashford has been bombarded with reports suggesting inside sources are unhappy with him, the latest claim being that his standing in the dressing room has been 'tarnished'. Sadly, this situation is starting to reach a breaking point.
