One of these five bars could be the best on Castle Street, according to ECHO readers.
Named after the former Castle of Liverpool, Castle Street is one of the original seven streets Liverpool and in the past has been the heart of the city's financial district. In recent years it has undergone a "renaissance," reinventing itself as one of Liverpool's nightlife's most in-demand areas.
We're currently polling our readers on their favourite Castle Street bars and five have emerged as clear contenders for the title. Here we take a closer look at each of them and what makes them so loved by punters.

Currently in fifth place in our poll is McGuffie & Co. This small cocktail bar has the oldest original shop front in the city and bears the name of John Rowland McGuffie, a town councillor back in the late 1700s who operated the shop as a pharmacy.
Since then, each new owner of the shop has honoured his memory by keeping his name, with its current iteration serving a range of cocktails.
Named "the best bar in town" by some customers, this Iberian Wine Bar is currently sat at number four in our poll. BoBo offers punters the traditional flavours of Spain and Portugal alongside a range of wines and has been previously named as runner-up for the best bar in the North by the Observer.
It has also previously been shortlisted for the best bar in the region category at the Merseyside Independent Business Awards.
