A report from L’Équipe has revealed that Patrick Vieira is the highest earner at RC Strasbourg Alsace, and the third-highest paid manager in Ligue 1.
Only Paris Saint-Germain’s Luís Enrique and AS Monaco’s Adi Hütter earn more than Vieira, who joined Les Alsaciens this summer. The former Arsenal midfielder earns €220,000 per month, significantly more than Strasbourg’s highest-paid player, Abakar Sylla, another summer recruit, who earns €145,000 per month. Sanjn Prcić is the second-highest earning player with €130,000, ahead of Emmanuel Emegha (€125,000).
It is then the two Chelsea loanees that come next on the list. Ângelo Gabriel has been with Les Alsaciens since the start of the season and earns €120,000 per month, whilst Andrey Santos, who only joined the club on loan in January, is the fifth-highest earner in the squad with €110,000.
Kevin Gameiro, who previously earned €140,000, reduced his salary in order to remain at the Meinau, now earns €100,000. Despite the arrival of the BlueCo owners, Strasbourg’s players are still relatively modestly paid, relative to their counterparts in Ligue 1.
