Pedro Neto to Arsenal transfer in potential £86m deal only scuppered by injury blow claims agent
Super agent Jorge Mendes insists his client Pedro Neto would have secured a mega-money move away from Wolverhampton Wanderers had it not been for a serious knee injury — as Arsenal continue to be linked with a move for the versatile forward.
The 23-year-old, who made the move to Molineux from Braga in 2019, has been linked with a big-money move to Arsenal and Manchester United in recent seasons as a result of his impressive performances for the West Midlands outfit but has had to endure two lengthy spells on the sideline with injuries.
Neto's breakthrough 2020-21 campaign ended abruptly as the Portugal international was left sidelined for nearly a year after suffering a serious knee in April 2021. And 18 months later, he was again spending time in the treatment room and missed a total of 27 games with an ankle injury.
However, this season Neto has registered 10 assists for Gary O'Neil's side, and such form has seen a potential move to the Emirates filling the gossip columns once more.

Speaking to the Portuguese publication Record, Mendes insists his client would have already secured a big-money move away from Wolves had it not been for such serious injuries.
