Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has played down the chances of his team repeating their treble win. The Blues are fighting with Liverpool and Arsenal for the Premier League title while they are still in the FA Cup and Champions League.
City won all three competitions last season but Guardiola does not believe his side will win the treble again. Speaking ahead of his side's 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday, the Spaniard said: «We have 99.99 per cent possibility that we are not going to win the treble because it has never ever ever been done.
»The chances to do it again are like this (shows tiny gap between thumb and index finger) minimal. If it was easy, another team (Manchester) United in that time would have done it again. It's not easy."
The former Barcelona boss does remain hopeful of City having a successful season, however. «What I like is that we are still there. We are close to the top of the league, we are in the other competitions,» he said.
City have been on a winning streak, with their last 10 games ending in victory. However, despite the commendable performances of Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez, and the return of Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne from injury, Jack Grealish's form has seen a dip.
Grealish, who was instrumental in City's treble success last season, hasn't started in the last four games. His recent slump in form follows a distressing incident in December when his home was burgled while he was playing a game at Everton.
