Man City boss Pep Guardiola offers Kevin De Bruyne injury update as Arsenal watch on

Pep Guardiola has admitted Kevin De Buyne is not 100 per cent fit as Manchester City prepare for their Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

The Belgian midfielder has been in inspired form upon his return toCity's first team that had kept him sidelined for five months. De Bruyne was left on the bench for the Sky Blues' recent 1-0 win over Brentford due to a minor issue and Guardiola has admitted he will continue to be careful with the 32-year-old.

Arsenal will be closely watching this situation unfold as they await a trip to the Etihad at the end of next month, which is likely to have a major say on who wins the Premier League title.

Offering an update on De Bruyne on Friday afternoon, Guardiola said: «He's good, not injured. I don't know if he's 100 per cent but we took good decisions not to take a risk. I know if the result was not good people would ask why he didn't play but we took a decision because he didn't feel comfortable.

»The day after the match, he trained and then yesterday we were off he came and trained by himself. We will assess but I'm pretty sure he will travel."

Guardiola also mentioned that Jack Grealish and Josko Gvardiol might not be fit for Saturday's match, but both are recovering well from their injuries. There's a chance Grealish could be back in time for the Manchester derby as his injury isn't as bad as initially thought.
