Viktor Gyokeres breaks silence on £85m Arsenal transfer claim as 'stressed' admission made
Viktor Gyokeres has opened up on his future amid transfer links with Arsenal.
Recent reports have claimed that the Gunners have 'decisively landed' on trying to sign Gyokeres this summer. The Swedish striker reportedly has a €100 million (£85.5m) release clause in his contract which the north London club are said to be willing to meet.
The 25-year-old Sporting Lisbon star arrived in Portugal from English Championship side Coventry City last summer in a deal reportedly worth £20m. Gyokeres has scored 36 goals in all competitions for Sporting so far this season.
And the Swede has opened up on his future in an interview with the Swedish press whilst on international duty. He insisted that his focus is very much on league and cup success with his current team this season.
«I don’t think much about it now actually, I want to win the league and the cup with Sporting – that’s where I’m putting all my energy and strength,» he said.
«It’s just speculation, but it’s good and fun to talk about. We’ll see what happens in the summer, I don’t know what will happen. But I really like Sporting and I don’t feel stressed at all for what’s to come.»

Arsenal's main options for the centre-forward position in the first-team squad are currently Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah and Kai Havertz.
