Police are investigating an alleged racist gesture made by a Mallorca fan towards Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni on Saturday.
Tchouameni scored with a thunderous 48th-minute shot from distance as the LaLiga leaders claimed a 1-0 victory.
As he celebrated his 30-yard screamer, his third goal of the season, with team-mates, TV cameras picked up the supporter making alleged monkey gestures in the background.
The supporter's face was pixellated by the broadcaster but Mallorca are now working with police to identify the culprit.
It comes a year after Mallorca fans were filmed racially abusing Real's Brazilian forward Vinicius Jr in the same fixture. That led to a fan's membership card being revoked for three years.
'In yesterday's match between RCD Mallorca and Real Madrid, images have been identified in which a person made racist gestures,' Mallorca said in a statement on Sunday.
'The club has activated the protocol against violence in football and is collaborating with the National Police in the identification of this person.'
Real's players appeared to be unaware of the abuse as they celebrated their goal.
The incident further fuels the debate swirling around racism in Spanish football, with 16 incidents of racist abuse against Real Madrid's Brazil winger Vinicius Jr reported to Spanish prosecutors by LaLiga in the last two seasons.
Earlier in April, Getafe were ordered to partially close their central stand for three matches following racist and xenophobic abuse suffered by Sevilla manager Quique Sanchez Flores and player Marcos Acuna in a LaLiga game.
