Jurgen Klopp believes there have been "positive signs" in the efforts to secure the release of Luis Diaz's father as he explained why the Liverpool winger has travelled to France.
Efforts are ongoing in Colombia to find Diaz Snr after the player's parents were kidnapped 10 days ago by armed men on motorcycles in their native Colombia.
Diaz's mother, Cilenis Marulanda, was released hours later but the search for Diaz Snr has continued ever since with a rescue mission involving well over 200 members of the police force and military.

While officials from the Colombian army claimed on Tuesday to have put plans in place for the release of Diaz's father "in the next few hours", there has not yet been a resolution to the ongoing incident.
Luis Diaz missed two Liverpool games but returned on Sunday at Luton Town to score a dramatic injury-time equaliser from the bench, and is part of the 23-man squad that journeyed to Toulouse on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the Europa League game here the following day.
And when asked for any update on the hunt for Diaz's father, Klopp said: "No real news, always positive signs but not real news.
"Yes, he decided last week because he cannot go to Colombia - that will not be the case in the moment - and when he is here training it is a safe place and around matches.
"He wants to be with us, he has travelled and is available."
