According to RMC Sport, PSG are still looking to bolster their defensive roster this January. This is despite completing the signing of Brazilian centre-back Lucas Beraldo (20) from Sāo Paulo. The young centre-back was expected to be PSG’s only defensive reinforcement in the winter window.
However, following an injury to Milan Škriniar, Les Parisiens’ transfer plans have now changed once again. The Slovakian international sustained an ankle injury in PSG’s Trophée des Champions victory against Toulouse, and the club fear he could be out for the rest of the season. Whilst Beraldo offers himself as a timely replacement, the Ligue 1 champions look set to seek further signings in defensive to cover a growing injury list which also includes Presnel Kimpembe and Nuno Mendes.
PSG have monitored the potential availability of Lille centre-back Leny Yoro (18) in the January transfer window, according to RMC Sport. The 18-year-old has impressed during his breakout year for Les Dogues and this has attracted the interest of other European giants including Real Madrid. However, Lille want to keep their defensive starlet and offer him a new contract which makes any potential deal for PSG complicated.
