Radu Dragusin has reportedly 'decided that he wants to join Tottenham' after it was reported yesterday that Ange Postecoglou's side were close to agreeing a deal to sign the Genoa defender.
It comes after reports on Tuesday claimed that Bayern Munich had hijacked their deal to sign the 21-year-old.
According to Sky Germany, the defender has opted for a move to the Premier League club and will 'fly to London on Wednesday' to complete the deal.
On Tuesday, Mails Sport reported that Ange Postecoglou's side were close to agreeing a deal worth up to £25million for the Genoa defender after tabling a formal offer.
Out of favour defender Djed Spence, who returned from a loan spell at Leeds last week, was also being offered to the Italian club as a sweetener in the proposed deal.
Dragusin has emerged as one of Spurs’ top January targets and the club have now made an official bid for the centre-back.
Bayern Munich have an interest in Dragusin and could yet look to make a late move for Romanian.
But Tottenham had been increasingly confident of landing the 21-year-old.
Spence, who was abruptly retuned by Leeds last week despite having the full-back on loan until the end of the season, could now move in the opposite direction.
He joined Tottenham for £20m in the summer of 2022 from Middlesbrough, signing a five-year deal with the club.
Following his arrival, he would go out on loan to Rennes before moving to Leeds last summer where the defender made seven appearances in the Championship after a knee injury had ruled him out of action for a large part of the season.
Mail Sport revealed on Friday that Spurs would immediately put Spence up for transfer following his return amid attitude issues.
